Protective Coatings Built for What the Water Does to a Vessel
A marine environment is one of the most aggressive conditions any surface can face. Saltwater exposure, UV degradation, algae growth, oxidation, and the constant cycle of wet and dry create a level of surface wear that accelerates far beyond what land vehicles experience. Automotive ceramic coatings are not designed for the same marine exposure and substrates.
Marine ceramic coatings are engineered specifically for this exposure and for marine substrates, requiring a different product, a different preparation process, and a different understanding of what the coating needs to withstand.
Apex Paradigm provides professional marine ceramic coating services to vessel owners, marinas, and marine operators throughout Cape Coral, FL and the entire state of Florida, including the Keys, with a 49 state reach.. We work with industry-leading marine coating partners whose product lines are engineered specifically for the conditions vessels face in saltwater, freshwater, and high-UV environments. Our coating programs are available for vessels ranging from recreational boats and pontoons to center consoles, sailboats, and large yachts.

Marine Ceramic Coating Packages
We offer ceramic coating protection ranging from two-year to seven-year coverage, with the appropriate product selected based on the vessel type, the operating environment, and the level of protection the owner is looking for. All applications are performed on-site at the marina or vessel location.
2-Year Marine Ceramic Coating
Pricing determined by vessel size/length, surface condition, required correction or restoration, coating scope, access, and haul-out requirements
Our 2-Year Marine Ceramic Coating provides 12–24 months of protection against UV exposure, oxidation, saltwater, algae, and environmental contamination. Applied to the hull and exterior surfaces, it is a practical starting point for recreational boat owners. The system uses STARKE Repel Pro as the base coating and Liquid THOR as the ceramic topcoat. Pricing varies based on vessel size, surface condition, coating scope, access, and haul-out requirements.
Premium Graphene Marine Coating
Pricing determined by vessel size/length, surface condition, required correction or restoration, coating scope, access, and haul-out requirements
The Premium Graphene Marine Coating delivers a more durable ceramic bond that holds up longer under consistent saltwater and UV exposure. This package is recommended for vessels in regular use across demanding water conditions, including offshore fishing, coastal cruising, and vessels kept in open slips with full sun exposure. The STARKE Repel Pro + Liquid Kraken system provides 18–24 months of protection and is premium graphene marine coating. Product selection is matched to the vessel's substrate and use profile.
Why Marine Ceramic Coating Is a Different Discipline
Saltwater and UV Are Not Forgiving
A vessel operating in saltwater or under prolonged sun exposure faces corrosive conditions that degrade unprotected gel coat, fiberglass, and painted surfaces faster than most owners realize. Marine-specific ceramic chemistry creates a barrier that resists the salt, the UV, the algae, and the oxidation that accumulate with every hour on the water.
Preparation Determines How Long the Coating Holds
A ceramic coating is only as good as the surface it is applied to. Proper marine coating preparation includes a thorough wash, decontamination, oxidation removal where needed, and surface inspection before any product is applied. We do not skip the preparation process because it is where the longevity of the coating is determined.
Product Selection Must Match the Vessel and the Environment
A freshwater lake boat and an offshore fishing vessel operating in saltwater have different needs. We select our marine coating products based on the specific vessel type, substrate material, and operating environment. Applying the wrong product, even a high-quality one, to the wrong surface is how premature coating failure happens.
What Sets Our Marine Ceramic Coating Apart
Marine-Specific Coating Chemistry
We use professional-grade marine ceramic coatings from Starke Yacht Care, whose product lines are engineered for saltwater, UV, and oxidation resistance. Automotive coatings are not used on vessel surfaces.
All Vessel Types and Sizes
We work on pontoons, fishing boats, sailboats, center consoles, cabin cruisers, speedboats, and large yachts. If it is a vessel, we have the product and the process for it.
Ceramic or Graphene Protection
We offer marine ceramic coating or marine graphene coating. Talk with us to determine which option is best for your vessel.
Marine Ceramic Coating FAQs
What types of vessels do you apply ceramic coating to?
We apply marine ceramic coating to pontoons, fishing boats, center consoles, sailboats, cabin cruisers, speedboats, offshore fishing boats, ski and wake boats, small yachts, and superyachts. We work on both gel coat and painted hull surfaces and select products appropriate for the specific substrate.
How does marine ceramic coating differ from automotive ceramic coating?
Marine ceramic coating is formulated to withstand the specific conditions vessels face, including prolonged saltwater exposure, algae growth, constant UV radiation, and the abrasive contact that occurs in wet slips and on trailers. Automotive coatings applied to marine surfaces without appropriate marine-specific chemistry will degrade significantly faster than a purpose-formulated marine product.
Does the vessel need to be out of the water for coating application?
In most cases, yes. Proper surface preparation and coating application require the vessel to be out of the water or in a dry slip. We coordinate with marina schedules and haul-out windows to minimize the time your vessel is out of service.
How do you handle saltwater exposure and oxidation on older vessels?
We address existing oxidation as part of our preparation process before any coating is applied. The level of oxidation removal required depends on the current condition of the surface. For vessels with significant oxidation, gel coat restoration may be recommended prior to coating application to ensure the coating bonds correctly and delivers its full protective benefit.
